Project 64 How To Use Controller

With the use of Nintendo 64 (N64) emulator software programs, gamers can download and play old favorites on their home computers. However, capturing the complexity of the N64 controller on a computer keyboard can be difficult. As such, many of these emulator programs rely solely on the use of a USB-compatible N64 controller. Though the option is not provided by these programs, it is possible to configure your keyboard and mouse as the controller by downloading and installing the N-Rage plug-in.Download N-Rage Input Plug-in v2.2 Beta.Open the downloaded file with a program capable of opening.zip files. Copy the file 'NRageInputV2.dll' and paste it in the 'Plug-in' folder of your emulator program.Open a game with your emulator program. Make sure that the N-Rage plug-in is selected by opening the 'Options' drop-down menu, clicking on 'Settings' and selecting the N-Rage plug-in under the 'Input' or 'Controller Plug-in' drop-down menu.Determine which keyboard and mouse options will correspond to the controller's various buttons.

Project N64 allows you to use either your keyboard to control these games, or USB joypads that resemble console game controllers like the models made by Logitech. Step 1 Connect your Logitech controller to a USB port on your computer.

Under the 'Options' menu, select 'Configure Controller' or 'Configure Input Plug-in'.To configure your controller, click on the radio button next to the desired controller button and perform the corresponding mouse or keyboard action. Movement of the mouse can be associated with a controller button in the same manner, so be careful not to move the mouse while associating keyboard commands or mouse clicks.

How To Use Ps2 Controller On Project 64

I use my Switch Pro Controller connected to my PC via Bluetooth as the controller for Project 64. Because Project 64 doesn't support DirectInput controllers, only Xinput ones, I have to use X360ce to convert the Switch Pro's inputs to Xinput. Usually this works fine, but sometimes I have huge input delay and some inputs aren't registering at all - that's very annoying, especially because it happened right before the last Bowser fight in a Mario 64 speedrun, so that I lost a potential PB - I was more than a minute faster than in my previous PB.I really don't have an idea what causes that problem, as without changing the distance between the controller and the Bluetooth dongle, sometimes I don't have any delay and then suddenly it starts lagging. My PC should really have enough power for emulators (Nvidia GTX 980, Intel Xeon CPU and 32 GB of RAM) and when I use a GameCube controller in Dolphin or Rivals of Aether - again I need X360ce - I have no input delay at all.
