Gutted, cant have the game without shadows.Holy shit, you just completely fixed my entire game. I was getting 29-50 fps with constant drops and inconsistencies, i ran your tool, kepts everything enabled, maxed out every setting in game including nvidia ones even though i have an amd 280x, and it literally runs 50-60 fps (i capped at 50 so might run 60) and this is with viewdistance maxed as well. Games awesome now thanks.Edit: somehow at 4am i couldnt telo shadows were comletely disabled.
Other fixes are great but no performance gain for me with sun shadows enabled.Things i disabled:FilmgrainAberrationDepth of fieldAny blur effectsEverything else including shadows is at max in game and on the tool. So, yes, it does work.just because it disables shadows, which is one of the options, doesn't mean it doesn't work.
You can run the tool with default game settings and only disable extras/things you don't want.which includes shadows. The 'before' and 'after' pics the creator posted even shows the lack of shadows. It's not like it tries to hide anything.This isn't likely to impact the game at a pure engine/driver level, or anything of that sort.
Techland blocked cheating by changing game's data files in a recent patch which is blocking players from gaining more performance. VisMOwnZ decided to make a small manager tool wich allows users to simply check or uncheck options they want.Creating obstacles for modders has never been the intention of Techland, and they are sorry for the inconvenience.
